Letter from the Editor

I once only knew Younger Generation Church for its contemporary worship service streamed live on Facebook. I now realize that YG Church is so much more than a service. YG is a transformative community, powered by the unconditional grace and love of God. YG gives me the opportunity to share the love of Christ with others through daily interactions. I pray that the stories within these pages paint our vibrant past, present, and future for you.

As you read these stories, you will read about YG’s LIFEgroups, which for me, fosters intentional gatherings and spiritual growth. You will learn about YG’s caring individuals, who welcomed me into the YG family and whom I now call some of my closest friends. You will be encouraged by stories of our diverse ministries. Whether on the platform, backstage, or in our local community, these ministries provide my fellow YGers and me abundant opportunities to use our gifts for Christ.

The Intimacy, Community, and Grace that makes our church unique goes far beyond the walls of our worship center. While our campus in Texas and our online community around the world grow each week, YG still is more than a service or building. Younger Generation Church is an inclusive community that fosters intimacy, community, and grace, changing lives in real-time.

YG is the person struggling with addiction, simply trying to find his or her purpose in life. YG is the student passionate about Jesus and excited for his or her future. YG is the hardworking parent focused on supporting his or her family.

No matter who you are or what you’ve been through, I pray that you are blessed through Younger Generation magazine. It is my prayer that you will and the opportunity to join us in worship and encounter Christ through YG as we strive to be Jesus to those around us. No matter who you are or what you've been through, You are YG, I am YG, and We are YG.
